After a storm the roof may look fine from the driveway. Wind and hail damage is found on the roof, on the north and west slopes, and in the attic.

What Middle Tennessee storms do

The severe weather season runs roughly March through June, with a second smaller window in late autumn. Squall lines bring straight-line winds that lift and crease shingles along the leading edge and strip ridge caps. Hail comes with the same storms and bruises the shingle mat, knocking granules loose in circular spots that expose the asphalt to UV.

Neither type of damage leaks immediately. Both shorten the roof's life and both are commonly covered by homeowner insurance if documented within the claim window.

The inspection

We walk every slope, photographing creased and lifted shingles, hail hits, damaged vents and flashing, and any debris impact. Gutters and downspouts are checked for dents, which are hard evidence of hail size. Soft metals such as vent caps and the drip edge take hail marks clearly and help establish the storm's severity.

The attic is checked for daylight, wet insulation and fresh water marks. Everything is dated and organised by slope.

Working with your insurance claim

You file the claim; we provide the evidence. The scope is written in the line-item format adjusters use, with slope measurements and photo references. We can meet the adjuster on the roof, which prevents the frequent problem of damage being assessed from the ground and under-counted.

If the adjuster's scope differs from ours, we explain the difference to you in plain terms so you can decide whether to request a re-inspection.

Emergency dry-in

When a storm has opened the roof, the first priority is stopping water. We tarp or patch the same day wherever possible, fastened properly so it survives the next front. The permanent repair or replacement follows once the claim and materials are settled.

Storm chasers

After every big storm, out-of-town crews knock on doors across Clarksville and Oak Grove offering free inspections and pushing quick contracts. Some are fine; many are gone before the first warranty call. Ask any contractor where they will be in two years, check that they are insured, and never sign an assignment of benefits on the doorstep.

A local contractor who does routine repairs and replacements the rest of the year is the one who will answer the phone next spring.

Fort Campbell families

If a storm hits while you are deployed or mid-move, we can inspect the roof with a spouse, a neighbour or a property manager present and send the full photo record to wherever you are. Claims have deadlines, and an inspection early keeps the option open.
